Fimar Polish Terms of Service
1. Acceptance of Terms
By using our website or services, you agree to these Terms. If you do not agree, please discontinue use.
2. Services
Fimar Polish specialises in electropolishing and passivation of stainless steel, focusing on corrosion resistance and surface finishing.
3. Service Conditions and Requirements
Electropolishing Tank Dimensions
- Maximum size: 4m (L) x 0.8m (W) x 1.2m (D)
- Larger items assessed case-by-case
- “Double dip” may result in slight finish variation
Condition of Items
- Must be clean and contaminant-free (All paint and pen marks removed)
- Must be in good condition
- Deep scratches will not be removed and may become more visible
Handling Prior to Arrival
- Items must be handled carefully
- Pre-existing damage cannot be repaired
Drainage for Close Welded Pipes/Tubes
- Drainage holes required at both ends (minimum 6mm)
- Items may be rejected if requirements are not met
Client Acknowledgement:
- Risk of chemical retention
- Possible uneven heating and finish variation
4. Liability Waiver (Industrial Clients)
By engaging Fimar Polish, the client acknowledges and agrees that:
- Electropolishing and passivation are industrial processes involving inherent risks
- Material composition, fabrication methods, and prior handling may affect outcomes
- Surface finish variations (including brightness, tone, or texture) may occur
The client accepts that:
- Fimar Polish is not responsible for pre-existing defects, including scratches, weld inconsistencies, or structural weaknesses
- Results may vary depending on material type and condition
- Chemical retention risks exist where drainage is insufficient
To the fullest extent permitted by law, the client:
- Waives any claim relating to aesthetic variations or material response
- Accepts responsibility for ensuring items are suitable for processing (Stainless steel only)
- Releases Fimar Polish from liability arising from improper preparation or design limitations
5. Order Placement and Payment
- Quotes valid for 30 days
- A valid Purchase Order (PO) must be provided prior to the commencement of any processing work
- Fimar Polish reserves the right to delay or withhold services until a Purchase Order is received
- Any changes to an order after confirmation may result in additional charges
- Payment terms are as specified on the invoice
6. Lead Time and Delivery
Lead times vary based on project complexity and materials. Delays may occur due to unforeseen circumstances.
7. Disclaimer of Warranties
Services are provided “as is” without guarantees of uniformity or specific outcomes.
8. Limitation of Liability
Fimar Polish is not liable for indirect, incidental, or consequential damages.
9. Governing Law
These Terms are governed by the laws of Western Australia.
